For those who missed it - cheers Dave for covering my shift at the Post - Fruitstock was a brilliant venue to celerbate my 27th birthday. Due to slight hangovers from Friday night my strict 1:00pm meet outside the entrance barely got a look-in as we wafted through primary coloured entrances and the ever-increasing crowds at various hours of the day to find our pitch near the most unlikely of park landmarks, "We're right next to a tree!" Bri, Dan, Katy, where were you dancin like?
Ebony Steel Band had started by the time I had arrived. Hey Jude went down well with a Carribean vibe. The Puppini Sisters were fantastic, with voices like bells during that old chestnut Mr Sandman, bring me a dream, bom bom bom bom... It's great to see a group performing old-time tunes. Bring back the pre-war style!
Cheers everyone for all the gifts & cards, and of course for coming to the park for the day. Didn't get to say goodbye to a few of you, sorry, I got stuck in the beer tent on my last mission.
After Arrested Development had finally played those two tracks that everyone knows... the last remaining few came for a swift Katsu Curry in Camden and a stroll up to Primrose Hill to see the city on a clear night.
Fruitstock!
